You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown Auditions

The Historic Holly Theatre is excited to announce auditions for You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown

Location: Holly Theatre Mainstage, 69 W Main St., Dahlonega, GA 30533
Callbacks: If needed, they will be on the same day from 1-4 pm

We are looking to cast 6 to 10 performers, ages 16 and up. 

Rehearsals

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9pm, Saturdays from 10am-1pm

  1. Sign up for an audition slot here.
  2. Fill out the required audition form. You will not be permitted to audition without it.

Audition Requirements 

Please prepare the material for your preferred role and be familiar with the materials for other roles that you might be considered for.

  1. Click here to find a list of the songs and monologues required for the audition. You may be accompanied by a pianist during your audition. In the event that this does not happen, tracks will be provided for auditions. You may use Youtube karaoke tracks to practice with.
  2. Please be prepared to participate in a brief dance/movement audition at the end of your audition slot.

Character Breakdown

  • Charlie Brown: The sometimes optimistic, sometimes self-deprecatory main character. [Baritone/Tenor]
  • Lucy: The crabby, opinionated, manipulative, self-important older sister to Linus who bosses Charlie Brown around and perpetually offers armchair psychiatric advice for her rate of five cents. [Alto/mezzo]
  • Sally: A highly articulate, charismatic, lovable, sometimes eccentric and argumentative younger sister to Charlie Brown. [Soprano/mezzo]
  • Linus: The thumb-sucking, blanket-dependent younger brother to Lucy – and Charlie Brown’s best friend. [Baritone/tenor]
  • Schroeder: A friend to Charlie Brown, he is distinguished by his precocious skill at playing the toy piano, as well as by his love of classical music and the composer Ludwig van Beethoven. [Baritone/tenor]
  • Snoopy: Charlie Brown’s dog. A clownish, vaudevillian scene-stealer who can really “sell it.” [Tenor/baritone]
  • 4 Ensemble (these will be additional Peanuts characters)
