What is JTF?

Junior Theater Festival is a 3 day event that takes place in Atlanta, GA on January 15-17, 2027. We will take a 15 minute cut of Peter Pan Jr. and present it for renowned theatrical judges from all over the country. We will spend 3 days performing, learning, meeting theatre professionals, and making friends from all around the world. There is a mandatory fee of $390 to participate. Scholarships are available for those who qualify. Please reach out to the director for more information on how to apply.

Please read this information packet before signing up. We are instituting new rehearsal policies that must be agreed to before you may audition. 

Auditions: 

When: Saturday, July 25, 2026,10 am – 1 pm
Where:The Holly Studio, 61 Enota St., Dahlonega, GA 30533

Callbacks (if needed) will be the same day from 1:30-3:30 pm

Saturday mornings from 10 am-1 pm
Rehearsals will begin Saturday, August 1.

There will be a couple of weeks of rehearsal with weeknight rehearsals leading up to the festival in January.

There will be no more performances of the show on The Holly stage, as we previously performed Peter Pan Jr. in March.

What to expect at auditions:

• Auditions will be conducted in groups. Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled audition group.
• Please prepare the following song for your audition:
  Ugh-A-Wug: Sing Peter’s Part
  In sheet music: mm. 1-44 (Marked on PDF where to start and stop singing)
  **mm. 37-40 students may pick which part they would like to sing
  In tracks (both guided and performance): 00:00-00:40
  (Click here for the guided vocal, click here the accompaniment track, and click here for sheet music. You may use the guided vocal to learn the song, but please plan to sing with the accompaniment track at auditions.)

• For sake of time at auditions, there is a pre-recorded dance video that we are asking students to learn before auditions. Click here for video.
• You may read a small snippet from the script at auditions and/or callbacks, if necessary.
• If you cannot attend the audition date in person, please contact the director to schedule a separate time or arrange a video audition.
• If the audition slots are full at the time of your sign up, please contact the director to arrange a video audition.
